OUTPATIENT IMAGING SERVICES

  At the VSCAN we provide outpatient Magnetic Resonance  (MR) and Computed Tomography (CT) imaging services on a referral basis.

 

In order to request an outpatient imaging study we require a completed Request Form which you can fill out by clicking the button below.

* NOTE: Contrast administration it is typically recommended for most CT studies. Please ask if you have questions regarding contrast administration.

We require CBC and Chemistry results performed within the past 2 months for all outpatient imaging studies. We also recommend recent two view orthogonal radiographs of the chest to be performed for patients 6 years and older.

PRICES

Please contact us for prices on all outpatient imaging studies. 

Our prices include the imaging scan, sedation or anesthesia, day hospitalization, contrast injection if necessary, and a radiologists interpretation of the exam. All of our prices are set in accordance with the current CVO guidelines.

THE PROCESS

  • Once we have received a completed request form from the referring service we will contact the owner to set up the appointment. 

  • The complete history, blood work, and radiographs must be received by the VSCAN prior to the appointment for pre-anesthetic screening.

  • *NOTE: While at The VSCAN the patient will not be evaluated by a neurologist if they are sent for Outpatient Imaging. 

  • *Every outpatient imaging study is overseen by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist as well as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.

  • Once the study is completed the owner will be notified and a discharge time will be set.

  • The referring clinic will receive an email confirming that the study was performed and the patient has recovered from anesthesia. 

  • Prior to leaving the client will be required to pay the VSCAN directly for the imaging study.

  • The VSCAN will email the radiologist interpretation report to the referring doctor within 24 business hours.

  • It is the responsibility of the referring doctor to share the results with the client.

  • DICOM images of the study can be sent to the referring service via a cloud based viewing service. CT and MRI studies cannot be sent as jpeg files.
